About Bill’s Sandbox

About Sandboxes
In Table Top Role playing circles a sandbox is a type of game in which there is no direct, single way to complete the game or story. This type of RPG allows for a great deal of player freedom but asks for a great deal of trust and respect from everyone at the table. Sandbox stories usually begin with Player Character Goals which the Game Master then uses to create situations in the game world.

About Bills Sandbox
This blog is a place to share my experiences and thoughts about running games, creating community spaces, radically imaginative creativity, OSR vs Modern styles of gaming, crafting in the game, writing, player problems, venue hunting, the purpose and the power of play. Everything that might fall under the scope of RPG games.
My games are not always sandboxes. I also run railroads, one shots, and published campaigns.
